Antonine University honored Ambassador of Italy to Lebanon, H.E. Massimo Marotti for his unwavering support of the University, throughout these last years, during a lunch held at Our Lady of Seeds Monastery, in Hadat-Baabda.
In attendance were: Ambassador Moretti, Fr. Michel Jalakh UA President, Emmanuel D’andrassi Italian Ambassador’s Chief of Staff, Dr. Monika Zecca Cultural Attaché, Fr. Toufic Maatouk Secretary General, Fr. Jean El Alam Vice-president for Integral Human Development, Fr. Najib Baaklini, Fr. Maroun Abi Nader, Dean of the Faculty of Theological Sciences and Pastoral Studies, Fr. Charbel Ghanem, Fr. Fadi Tawk, and Dr. Chady Abou Jaoude Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.
On the occasion, Fr. Jalakh welcomed the esteemed guest and expressed his appreciation of Ambassador Marotti’s efforts to deepen and strengthen bilateral relations between UA and Italy, especially on the academic, scientific and cultural levels.
In turn, Ambassador Marotti thanked UA for the collaboration on different scientific, cultural and artistic fields.
At the end, Fr. Jalakh presented Mr. Marotti with a symbolic gift, an icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
