Chevening Scholarships and Fellowships 2026–27

Applications for Chevening Scholarships in the UK for the 2026–27 academic year are now open. Lebanese citizens (and Palestinians residing in Lebanon) are eligible to apply under the Lebanon scheme in any subject area.

 

Scholarships

Chevening Scholarships offer full financial support to pursue any eligible master’s degree at over 150 UK universities. Scholars also gain access to exclusive academic, professional, and cultural experiences. The scholarships are awarded to future leaders and professionals from all backgrounds who can demonstrate outstanding leadership, influence, and networking skills.

Fellowships

Chevening Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies Fellowship

This fellowship is aimed at mid-career academics and professionals committed to advancing academic work that fosters a deeper understanding of Islamic culture, civilization, and contemporary Muslim societies. Fellows undertake a five-month period of self-directed research on their chosen project, focusing on Islam and Muslim societies in a global context.

Syrians (inside and outside Syria) are also eligible to apply under the Syria scheme.

Chevening Clore Leadership Fellowship 

Offered in partnership between the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and Clore Leadership, this fellowship provides mid-career professionals in the arts and culture sector an exceptional, individually tailored leadership program in the UK. Each year, Clore Fellowships are awarded to leaders in areas such as visual and performing arts, museums, libraries, archives and heritage, film and digital media, as well as cultural policy and practice.
