“Some moments are nice, some are nicer, some are even worth writing about.” ― Charles Bukowski.

Indeed, it is worth writing about the Antonine University Choir magical nights.

An enchanting musical evening took our breaths away on the night of December 1st at the Saint Joseph Church, Monot.

The opening ceremony of Beirut Chants Festival Season 12 featured Antonine University Choir and L’Académie de l’Opéra de Paris along with the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Fr. Toufic Maatouk.

The choir also offered a one of a kind concert, this time at the International Seminar of the Coimbra Group of Brazilian Universities (CGBU) on October 28.

The Lebanese choir carried Lebanon to the prestigious historical opera house Teatro Amazonas in Manhaus and prayed for our country, hoping that it will rise stronger from the rough days it witnessed.

It is also worth writing about that one in a million night, an awesome moment, crowned with great success and pride on the night of July 26 at the Baalbeck International Festival.

The Antonine University Choir together with the Romanian Radio Chamber Orchestra, performed Verdi’s Requiem under the baton of Fr. Toufic Maatouk. No less than 140 artists were on stage to perform this piece of music with high professionalism. Top musicians also joined the choir as guests such as Maria Agresta (soprano), Daniela Barcellona (mezzo-soprano), Giorgio Berrugi (tenor) John Relyea (bass).

Felicitations to our Choir on all its achievements!
