The MERIC-Net project's objective is to revitalise the MERIC network (Mediterranean Recognition Information Centres) in order to favour and increase the recognition of qualifications within the Mediterranean Region, and to raise the quality of vertical and horizontal mobility in the higher education systems of the involved countries. The project partners intend to improve the competencies and skills of credential evaluators defining common practices and realising common tools among European and South Mediterranean countries, national bodies and HE institutions, starting from the experience of European higher education institutions and practices adopted by the ENIC-NARIC centres. http://www.meric-net.eu/en/index.aspx
One of the main project activities is dedicated to the elaboration and practice sharing of procedures for the recognition of refugees’ qualifications. In this framework, an event on the recognition of qualifications for refugees will take place at the Antonine Univesrity, Hadat-Baabda from October 17 to October 19.
