The Executive Vice-Rector (EVR) reports directly to the Rector and ensures the execution of his decisions and the implementation of the policies established by the Administrative and the University Councils.
Functions
The EVR also leads strategic initiatives and cross-unit projects, coordinates the work of the vice-rectors, and represents the Rector in all sectors that do not fall under the competence of a dedicated vice-rector.
Biography
Pascale Lahoud is currently the Executive Vice-Rector of the Antonine University (UA) and the Director of the Office of Strategic Initiatives and Quality Assurance (ISAQ). Before this, she held the Office of Vice-Rector for Cultural Affairs, for seven years.
She is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Theological Sciences and Pastoral Studies. Her main teaching areas are moral philosophy, western contemporary philosophy, philosophy and literature, etc.
She holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Science from the Lebanese University and a Master’s degree in the History of Sciences and Techniques from the University of Nantes (France).
Her research interests span the areas of contemporary Lebanese thought, moral philosophy, philosophy of science, and public understanding of science.
She is the author of numerous publications:
