We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented and organized Audio-visual Technician to join the Facilities and Maintenance team.
Position Summary
Manages the Audio-visual (A/V) store and equipment and ensure related preventive and corrective maintenance process. He / She sets up and operates media equipment (microphones, projectors, monitors, etc.) during events organized by the Faculty of Information and Communication (FIC) and performs several post-production tasks: editing, montage and others, when requested.
The Technician is also responsible of the A/V material rental process to the A/V Department students and others potential user from UA’s units.
As an A/V Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Identifying, planning and organizing the preventive and corrective maintenance of the Audio-visual (AV) equipment and facilities.
- Ensuring the maintenance of electronic and electrical appliances at the offices, classrooms and laboratories of the Faculty of Information and Communication (FIC).
- Coordinating with the Office of IT about the installations, running and updates of all the software and hardware related to FIC classrooms and Labs.
- Managing the A/V equipment rental process to students
- Preparing a yearly report about all the assets, enhancement plans and suggestions, technical deficiencies, arising problems.
- Helping in A/V related projects managed by the University internal units : shooting, photography, lighting setup, editing and montage, when requested.
- Performing any other related duties as assigned.
Basic
- Bachelor degree - or TS - in A/V, Computer Sciences, or any related fields.
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience directly related to the specified main duties and responsibilities. Experience in a higher education is a plus.

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Fluent in Arabic, English and French.
