MEIG Scholarship Program 2025–26

The University of Geneva, in cooperation with the United Nations Office at Geneva, is offering a scholarship opportunity for the Master of Advanced Studies in European and International Governance (MEIG Programme). This program runs from September 2025 until early July 2026.

Program Overview

The MEIG Programme combines academic studies with practical training, followed by an internship at an international organization or an in-depth study of a governance-related topic. This 10-month program is particularly aimed at young professionals who already have practical experience and wish to enhance their knowledge of European and international governance.

Some scholarships cover registration fees and provide substantial contributions to the costs of living in Geneva, while others contribute solely to the living expenses.

To qualify for the scholarship, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated financial need, considering the resources of candidates and their immediate and extended families, employers, or any other potential contributors.
  • Inability to secure loans or scholarships from all other available sources, including employers, banks, governments, and private providers.
  • Active participation in all courses in Geneva from the first to the last day of the program.
