U.S. Embassy Exchanges for Undergraduate Students

The United States Department of State is now accepting applications for various exchange programs for the academic year 2025–26, specifically designed for undergraduate students aged 18 to 25.

We encourage you to review the programs listed below and apply for the opportunities that best match your qualifications.

 

Study of the United States Institute for Global Student Leaders on Religious Diversity and Democracy

  • Eligibility: Undergraduate students aged 18 to 25 with at least one semester remaining in their program
  • Program Duration: 4 to 5 weeks in the summer of 2025

Study of the U.S. Institutes Madeleine K. Albright Young Women Leaders Program

  • Eligibility: Female undergraduate students aged 18 to 25 with at least one semester remaining in their program
  • Program Duration: 4 to 5 weeks in the summer of 2025

Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD)

The Global UGRAD program offers a one-semester study opportunity in the US for undergraduate students. Participants will enroll in full-time, non-degree courses, including a 3-credit US studies course, and participate in 20 hours of community service.

 

  • Eligibility:
    • Lebanese citizens or holders of the Special Travel Document for Palestinian Refugees
    • Undergraduates in their first, second, or third year at a registered academic institution in Lebanon
    • Aged 18–25 with at least one academic year remaining in their undergraduate studies after the end of this exchange program (December 2025 or May 2026)

  • Requirements:
    • Two letters of recommendation (in English), including one from your current institution (include the email addresses of the referees in the application)
    • Academic transcripts of the current and previous year, either at high school or university (translated copies are not required at the time of application)
    • Copy of passport or travel document biodata page (if available at the time of application)
    • TOEFL scores (optional)

  • Program Duration: 1 academic semester starting in August 2025 or January 2026
