    As part of its fourth Season of Chamber Music, Antonine University presented a new concert hosted by the Quatuor Zaïdeat the Our Lady of Seeds Chapel on its main campus in Hadat-Baabda.

    Many political, diplomatic, military, media, academic, and social figures attended the musical evening, including deputies Edgard Maalouf and Ali Osseiran; UA Rector Father Michel Jalakh; Commander Marwan Mansour, representing the Director-General of State Security General Antoine Saliba; Mr. Éric Lebas, Cultural Attaché at the French Embassy in Beirut; as well as Dr. Dirk Dreher, Vice-President and head of logistics at BMW Group.

    The Quatuor, champion of the First Prize of the Joseph Haydn International Competition in Vienna (2012), is composed of four musicians from the National Conservatory of Music in Paris: Charlotte Juillard (violin), Pauline Fritsch (violin), Sarah Chenaf (viola), and Juliette Salmona (cello).
    Together, they captivated their audience not only thanks to their immense talent but also because of their majestic flawless interpretation. For this evening, the four musicians decided to perform compositions by L.V. Beethoven, J. Haydn, and C. Debussy. During this last piece, the public experienced a real moment of meditation, discovering an exceptional masterpiece.

    Mark your calendars for the next concert that will take place on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, also in the Our Lady of Seeds chapel. It will feature the pianist Julien Libeer, holder of the Juventus Prize, and the violinist Lorenzo Gatto 2nd Prize at the 2009 Queen Elizabeth International Competition.
