Driven by its mission and desire for excellence, Antonine University (UA) continues to look ahead by taking part in all major events in connection with its Faculties. On February 6, 2021, UA participated, through two of its collaborators: Ms. Maya Nohra, director of the Department of Dental Laboratory Technology, and Mr. Rodny Abdallah, coordinator at the same department, in the 18th edition of Global Scientific Dental Alliance (GSDA).

Created by the AEEDC Dubai less than 20 years ago, this annual meeting has become, in a few years, a high-profile dental gathering with members from all over the world including the United States, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia, among others.

Despite the obstacles due to the pandemic, the 2021 edition went as planned thanks to an efficient online platform that gathered together an audience of 214 members of the dentistry world. During this large virtual seminar, the GSDA took the opportunity to renew, through the voice of Prof. Abdullah Al Shammery, Scientific Chairman, and that of Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Executive President of AEEDC Dubai and of the GSDA, its commitments to its mission, that is among others: promoting oral health education; developing continuing education; and, supporting oral health profession by responding to their needs and concerns.
