In the past two decades, the telecommunications sector has experienced remarkable growth and development. Our daily lives now rely on the various services it provides. Due to this continuous progress, many services and applications, some of which had always been considered as fictional, have become a tangible reality.
The latest technological breakthroughs have unleashed the imagination of engineers and researchers to develop new services as well as new technologies in different sectors, such as “Space and Astronomy”, “Vehicular Communication and Embedded Systems” and “Large Scale Networks.”
In the continuity of the series of forums on emerging technologies, the Faculty of Engineering at Antonine University (UA) is pleased to announce its third forum on Emerging Technologies: Open Day for Telecommunications, to be held at the main campus in Hadat-Baabda on April 9, 2019.
Organized in conjunction with main national and international experts, this day aims to:
- highlight technological advances in various telecommunications sectors;
- identify the expected profile of a telecommunications engineer for the next decade;
- build relationships between local and international companies; and
- set up new collaborations between UA and participating companies.
