Antonine University (UA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Talar Atechian as Vice Rector for Academic Affairs (VRAA). With her extensive experience and dedication to the field of academia, Dr. Atechian brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role and is well positioned to lead and advance the University’s academic initiatives.

Dr. Atechian received her Master’s degree in Computer and Telecommunications Engineering from UA in 2005, followed by a PhD in Engineering Sciences from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA) of Lyon, France, in 2010. Since then, she has served as an Associate Professor at UA’s Faculty of Engineering (FOE), demonstrating her commitment to teaching and research.

Throughout her professional career, Dr. Atechian has showcased exceptional leadership capabilities. From 2014 to 2018, she served as the Director of UA’s teaching and learning center (APUI), where she spearheaded essential initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of teaching in higher education. Her contributions have been instrumental in improving the learning experience for students and faculty.

Dr. Atechian’s expertise extends beyond the classroom. She specializes in designing and delivering training programs for educators, using innovative teaching approaches to enrich the learning environment. Her involvement in various pedagogical associations underscores her commitment to sharing best practices and fostering a community of practice.

In her new role as VRAA, Dr. Atechian will continue to play a vital role in UA’s institutional development. Her leadership, combined with her passion for academic excellence, will undoubtedly contribute to the University’s mission of providing a transformative education.
