Welcome to the Department of Physical Therapy (DPT) at Antonine University.
It is both an honor and a responsibility to lead a department that, since its establishment in 2006, has been committed to forming competent, ethical, and compassionate physical therapists who play a vital role in enhancing individual and community health. Whether you are a prospective student, a parent, or a professional partner, we are proud to present a program accredited by World Physiotherapy (WP), the globally recognized benchmark in physical therapy education.
Our program is offered in English at the Hadat–Baabda Main Campus and in French at the Nabi Ayla–Zahle and Mejdlaya–Zgharta Campuses. Designed to meet both national and international standards, our curriculum blends solid academic foundations with applied clinical experiences. Over four years, students gain deep knowledge in anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and rehabilitation sciences, complemented by hands-on training in hospitals, outpatient clinics, and specialized rehabilitation centers.
Due to the high demand and limited capacity, admission to our program is based on a competitive selection process. This ensures that students joining our Department demonstrate not only academic strength but also a strong commitment to the profession and its values.
Aligned with Antonine University’s strategic vision, the DPT actively promotes academic excellence, community engagement, sustainability, and research in rehabilitation sciences. These values are reflected in our curriculum, our partnerships, and the professional mindset we instill in our students.
To prepare students for professional and societal challenges, we offer interdisciplinary courses that foster both personal growth and civic engagement. Modules such as citizenship, entrepreneurship, ethics in life, pluralism, and oral and written communication help our students become well-rounded individuals capable of contributing meaningfully in various contexts.
We also recognize the importance of emotional well-being and resilience as essential components of academic and professional success. That’s why we foster a learning environment that promotes mental health, encourages balance, and supports students throughout their journey.
What truly defines our Department is our dedicated faculty members: a team of highly qualified educators and clinicians committed to excellence in teaching, mentorship, and innovation. Our learning environment is supportive and multicultural, and our students benefit from international mobility opportunities, such as the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL).
Looking ahead, we are proud to announce the upcoming launch of a Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the Hadat–Baabda Campus, designed for licensed professionals who seek to deepen their clinical expertise and leadership capabilities.
Our alumni serve across a wide range of healthcare settings, in Lebanon and abroad, making meaningful contributions in hospitals, clinics, research institutions, and community services. We are proud of the legacy we continue to build and remain committed to growth, innovation, and social impact.
We invite you to learn more about our programs and consider joining a journey that is both academically rigorous and profoundly rewarding. Should you need more information, our team is always ready to guide you.
