  • The virtual general assembly of the Téthys consortium for Euro Mediterranean Universities

    The Rector of UA Fr. Michel Jalakh participated to the virtual general assembly of the Téthys consortium for Euro Mediterranean Universities that celebrates its 20th anniversary. Téthys was created in 2000 for the construction of Euro Mediterranean Area for Higher Education, Research and Innovation, and actually includes more than 60 partner universities across 19 countries.

    The general assembly was opened by the president of Aix-Marseille University, the hosting institution of Téthys, followed by a retrospective slideshow about the impact of the Network activities over the past 20 years. The second session was dedicated to the board of directors, that approved two new adherent universities from Italy and Morocco. In addition, the recently published report on Internationalization of Tertiary Education in the Middle East and North Africa by the World Bank and the Center for Mediterranean Integration was presented. On going collaborative actions have been presented and discussed and others have been initiated.
