"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" - John 1:1. To study theology is to study the word of God; it is to study God. Studying theology means you are going to cover various subjects, from philosophy to history, which will give you a different perspective and experience with faith.
Medicine, engineering, and law are noble pursuits, but without the word of God, humans could not explore other sciences. As you study theology, you will explore faith and how it is expressed differently. You will view its impact on society, and today we are more aware than ever of the transcendent influence religion has on us.
Students who choose to study theology have a variety of goals and interests. Some have specific career goals of service to the Church and society; others are seeking a sense of meaning in their lives. Others see theology as a way to a career in psychology, education, social work, etc. Whatever your goal is, the Faculty of Theology (FOT) at Antonine University (UA) is ready to prepare and train you in any field of pastoral activities.
Thus, the FOT at UA strives to offer the faithful a high level of academic theological and pastoral training and aims at inspiring them to become influential pastoral agents in our Church and to face the problems of the region with both strong will and holiness.
Whatever you study or do in your life, keep in mind that "The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of our God stands forever" - Isaiah 40:8.
