Services and Facilities

Antonine University (UA) invests in its facilities and academic laboratories, ensuring that its students have everything they need to succeed in their work and studies. It also offers them a wide range of support services to assist them with any problems they may face during their studies.

Services

Augmented Reality (AR)

Finding your way through UA premises is now easy. All you have to do is:

  • go to the App Store or Google Play;
  • search for uAntonine Augmented Reality;
  • download the free app — it will only take seconds;
  • open the app, turn on the dedicated map flyer, and hold your camera over the picture, then a 3D image will pop up. (If you don’t have the map, you can simply experience the 360° virtual tour.)

After following the aforementioned steps, you can check the menu in the top right corner of the application to get a detailed look at our campus, buildings, classrooms, and state-of-the-art laboratories.

The UA AR application allows everyone to view UA via the Augmented Reality technique supported by 360° photos of the different labs, classrooms, and other facilities.

By holding a tablet or smartphone over a dedicated map, university buildings and a control panel appear in 3D on the screen, allowing the user to take a tour of the various UA premises.

Multi-key Table

The multi-key table is an interactive screen (multi-touch) that offers, through a dedicated application, access to a panoply of information, images, and videos pertaining to the various aspects of the UA experience, including specializations (3D interactive guide), student life, facilities, events, a timeline (20 years of UA in photos), etc. Several students can consult the table simultaneously.

Bus

UA’s Nabi Ayla–Zahle Campus provides free bus pick-ups from and to the campus for morning classes, lunch breaks, and evening classes.

Parking and Security

We know parking can sometimes be frustrating, but UA students don’t have to worry about it! The University has dedicated a large parking lot equipped with surveillance cameras and provides a 24/7 security service on all campuses.

To reserve a parking space, students must fill out the online Parking Membership Form before paying the membership fees ($35 per month or $105 per semester).

Note: The maximum speed limit allowed in the parking lot is 30 km/h.

Hadat–Baabda Campus

Numerous parking spaces are available near the Hadat–Baabda Campus, and more than 500 of them are equipped with surveillance cameras installed for maximum security.

Nabi Ayla–Zahle Campus

There is a sizeable parking lot available for use by all faculty, staff, and students at the Nabi Ayla–Zahle Campus.

Mejdlaya–Zgharta Campus

UA has dedicated a large parking space for faculty, staff, and students to park their vehicles at the Mejdlaya–Zgharta Campus.

Student Dormitories

It can be challenging to find affordable housing near the university, especially for students who live in rural areas. To facilitate their daily, long-distance trajectory, UA offers its students accommodation in its residences throughout their academic path. On campus, there are single, shared double, and triple rooms that come with a bed, desk, table, desk chair, and wardrobe. The dorms also have on-site or shared facilities and wired connection points to the UA network.

Sharing a room is very cost-effective since shared room rates are less expensive than single room rates. It is also a great way to make new friends on arrival.

Facilities

Cafeteria

The meeting point cafeteria is a dining facility accessible to all members of the UA community. It opens its doors from Monday through Friday, from 6:30 AM to 8:00 PM.

Lady of the Seeds Church

UA chose the Lady of the Seeds as its patroness and built a church with her name on the Hadat–Baabda Campus in order to safeguard the students’ spiritual environment and host liturgical celebrations, prayers, divine liturgy, concerts, and hours of prostration before the Eucharistic Holy Host.

The University Church is located at the heart of the Hadat–Baabda Campus and offers a wide range of community, charitable, and artistic events. The Church’s involvement and mission in the culture of the University take various forms. It supports Catholics who are engaged in University life as students, faculty, or staff members and also seeks to introduce the gospel to all those who are not yet familiar with it.

Nabi Ayla–Zahle Campus

Everybody is welcome to meditate and practice their Christian rituals in the Chapel on the Nabi Ayla–Zahle Campus.

Mejdlaya–Zgharta Campus

Library

The UA Library is committed to providing a user-centered approach in all facets of its programs and services and is designed to meet all the community’s needs in both physical and online aspects. While acknowledging that our vast resources and digital collections serve a global community, the Library’s main priority is meeting the needs of all UA students, faculty, and staff.

Fountain Yard

There is no doubt that fountains have been improving people’s well-being and bringing them peace and relaxation. In addition to being a pleasant place for friends and colleagues to gather, there is something about flowing water that transmits contentment among students.

Hadat–Baabda Campus

The Fountain Yard, which serves as the community’s main gathering point, was redesigned in 2011, and it is the first thing you see once you pass the gates.

Nabi Ayla–Zahle Campus

UA is currently investing to build a vast green area at the Nabi Ayla–Zahle Campus, where it can welcome students during their free time.

Academic and Teaching Laboratories

UA avails itself of the most state-of-the-art infrastructure, facilities, and technological amenities, with many classrooms equipped with interactive boards, LCD projectors, multimedia spaces, etc. It also accommodates high-caliber science and language laboratories, along with top-notch computers.

UA has various specialized labs that are only accessible to students enrolled in specific fields of study. There, they can carry out experiments, build prototypes, get help with their projects and courses, and meet like-minded peers and faculty.

The purpose of these labs is to connect academics and theory with practical application and allow students and researchers to use cutting-edge techniques while working on the ground.

Engineering Lab

The goal of this lab is to equip students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to manage and interact with any situation they might encounter in the workplace. Students can benefit from this lab to build software, systems, and networks, as well as integrate and write codes.

Nursing Sciences Labs

There are 3 labs available at the Department of Nursing Sciences (DNS) so that students can get hands-on experience.

UA has incorporated simulation as a teaching method based on the theory of experiential learning, which is why it has a dedicated simulation lab equipped with a patient simulator (SimMan) that displays neurological and physical symptoms. This lab is connected to a control room by a computerized information system, enabling instructors to monitor students and its use. Students can therefore learn to apply critical thinking, foster teamwork, and transition from the classroom to the real world.

The other 2 labs are restricted to presentations and are outfitted with all of the necessary devices. They are also equipped with a non-computerized mannequin so that students can practice professional behaviors in settings that are similar to real life.

Sound and TV Studios

The Audiovisual Services (AVS) department at UA offers a variety of audiovisual equipment available for reservation. Additionally, students, faculty, and staff can book a montage room for editing, special effects, and file exporting, as well as TV and sound studios for video and audio recording.
