  • Adapted Physical Activities (APA) and Health Scientific Day

    11 April 2022

The Faculty of Sport Sciences (FSS) at Antonine University (UA) aims to support its members in their quest for knowledge, provide them with every opportunity to reach their highest level of achievement, as well as inculcate scientific thinking in younger generations, as science lies at the very core of our existence and is constantly transforming the world around us at an extraordinary pace, through the new inventions, breakthroughs and advancements in every field.

For this purpose, the FSS is proud to have organized for the very first time and in partnership with the UFR STAPS (Science and Techniques of Physical and Sport Activities) at University of Franche-Comté (UFC), the “Adapted Physical Activities (APA) and Health Scientific Day”. April 6, 2022 was an opportunity for scientists, faculty members, staff, students and science lovers to share knowledge which transcends national borders. This scientific meeting was one of the venues for researchers and students to meet and exchange expertise, as this forum brought together experts from different backgrounds coming from France and Lebanon to disclose their research findings and disseminate new knowledge. It was also a platform to not only promote the cross-pollination of scientific ideas, but also to encourage interaction and networking among participants, as well as to establish the foundations for inter-institutional collaborations which can yield scientific and societal impacts.

This program comprised two sessions on “Neurosciences, Healthcare, and APA” and “Ageing and Diseases in APA”, which included a wide range of conferences conducted by renowned professionals. Furthermore, national and international issues were addressed, such as inter-university cooperation, education and research experiences related to innovative technologies in relation to sports sciences, health, and biological sciences, with a global perspective and relevance. Master's students were also excited to present their research work during the session that was dedicated to them.
