  • Sharing Knowledge and Networking for Everyone’s Benefits...

    11 June 2021

With respect to its tradition of openness, Antonine University (UA) continues to forge qualitative and strong ties with foreign universities through their students, for the greatest benefit of its own students. In this framework, UA organized, on April 29, 2021, a webinar moderated by Dr. Wadiaa Khoury, instructor at the Faculty of Information and Communication, with the participation of three student-guests from the European School of Business (ESMT), namely Diana Villanueva, Amer Hatoum, and Felix Schehl, in order to share their experience and raise awareness on active and responsible citizenship among the students of the “Citizenship and Society” course and the members of the “Active Citizens’ Team” Club at UA.

What initiated this online conference is a previous meeting held some time before with the Vice-Rector for Cooperation and Internationalization, Pr. Rony Darazi, the Director of the Office of Student Affairs, Ms. Joyce Abou Jaoude, the Executive Assistant at the Vice-Rectorate for Integral Human Development, Ms. Jocelyn Saab, along with four students of the prestigious ESMT. This top German school – that is ranked among the 10 best schools on a European level – gives its students the opportunity to serve as economic or management consultants for organizations with specific social impact objectives. The main propose of their trip to Lebanon was to help MMKN (ممكن), a Lebanese NGO whose goal is to reduce the students’ disengagement, especially kids between 4 and 8 years old.

This webinar is part of the collaboration between the “Active Citizens’ Team” Club, the Vice-Rectorate for Cooperation and Internationalization, and the Faculty of Information and Communication at UA.
