    Student Delegation and Involvement

Antonine University (UA) is committed to embracing the ideas and perspectives of its students whose participation, partnership and engagement are instrumental in bringing about positive changes in this community and maintaining quality standards. It therefore provides avenues for them to be involved in University governance, empowers them to become agents of change, and ensures that the right processes are in place to promote multiculturalism and diversity on its campuses. In order to concretize its beliefs, UA has established the Student Representative Committee (SRC), thus giving students the right to express their views positively, raise their concerns openly and initiate reflections on topics that matter most to them and impact their day-to-day life.

The University acknowledges the need for its undergraduates and postgraduates to be represented fairly and make their voices be heard. It firmly believes that their engagement is one of the pillars of their success and contributes meaningfully to creating a high-quality student experience. Through UA’s representatives, an effective communication can be built between the students and the University administration, which allows the latter to make informed decisions about the improvement initiatives that need to be undertaken for the benefit of the learners, and to gain a deeper understanding of their circumstances in order to serve them better and meet their varying needs.

Apart from raising students’ concerns and soliciting feedback from their peers to convey their opinions to the concerned governing bodies, the SRC is vested with the responsibility to suggest and implement solutions to the problems that may arise and to share ideas for enhancement of teaching and learning practices. Our representatives take upon themselves to help their cohort develop social awareness, improve their interpersonal and problem-solving skills, especially when engaging others in constructive and valuable dialogue.
