UA’s Department of Dental Laboratory Technology (DDLT) had the honor of hosting a distinguished group of dental experts at the Hadat–Baabda Campus. Dr. Julien Laupie, Secretary General of the French Dental Association (ADF), joined us alongside Dr. Philippe Brenier, Secretary General of the National Professional Council of French Surgeons (CNP-CD); Dr. Marwan Daas, President of the Scientific Committee of ADF 2019; Dr. Pierre Khoury, President of the Lebanese Society of Prosthodontics (LSP); and Prof. Ziad Salameh, Ambassador of the Digital Dentistry Society.

During their visit, our guests enjoyed an immersive tour through the campus, starting with the state-of-the-art dental laboratories and facilities, designed to promote hands-on learning and support academic events, and ending with Our Lady of the Seeds Monastery, where they met with the UA Rector, Fr. Michel Saghbiny, in the presence of Fr. Ziad Maatouk, Secretary General; Fr. Jean Al Alam, Vice Rector for Integral Human Development (VRIHD); and Dr. Gaby Moukarzel, Dean of the Faculty of Public Health (FPH). The visit was meticulously coordinated by our own Ms. Maya Nohra, Head of the DDLT, accompanied by Mr. Rodny Abdallah, DDLT’s Event Coordinator, and Mr. Nabil Asmar, faculty member.

This gathering highlighted UA’s commitment to fostering excellence and professionalism in dental education, as it encouraged collaborative activities between dentists and dental laboratory technologists, recognizing the vital role each plays in advancing the field.
