Antonine University (UA) and the Lebanese Swimming Federation (LSF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen their partnership and promote the development of swimming in Lebanon. The MOU, which was signed by UA’s Rector, Fr. Michel Jalakh, and the LSF’s President, Dr. Toni Nassar, is set to run for 3 years and will involve the exchange of knowledge and information, collaborative research, and the organization of seminars and workshops for swimming coaches and officials.

Under the terms of this agreement, UA’s Faculty of Sport Sciences (FSS) students will be offered the opportunity to complete internships and volunteering programs at the Federation’s offices. This practical experience will enable them to gain expertise in sports administration and management, in addition to networking opportunities that may lead to future career prospects.

The signing of this MOU underscores the commitment of both UA and the LSF to advancing the sport of swimming in Lebanon and promoting the professional development of young people interested in pursuing careers in sports management. This partnership will undoubtedly pave the way for further collaborations and initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality and reach of swimming in the country.
