Office of Information Technology

As Bill Gates once said, “The advance of technology is based on making it fit in so that you don't really even notice it, so it's part of everyday life.” Today, if you look around, you notice that technology is the driving force behind everything in the world, and it has emerged into our daily life that you do not notice it. What is even more fascinating about technology is that it is ever-changing, as humanity advances, technology advances.

There are some remarkable facts about technology; for instance, the amount of technical information is doubling every two years. As an example, for students starting a four-year technical or college degree, means half of what they learn in their first year of study will be outdated by their third year of study. That is one of the examples of how technical information changes rapidly.

Information, computers, and technology have changed the world in numerous fields of industry, and educational institutes are no exception. Today’s technological advancements require technology professionals who can help companies to administer innovative technologies like Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT), and virtualization needs.

The Office of Information Technology is one of the oldest and biggest offices at the Antonine University (UA) acting on its behalf regarding everything related to information technology. The office is extreme to shadow with the fast changes and the latest expansion in this domain. Accordingly, the Office of Information Technology exerts continuous efforts for the development of its learning, teaching, and research to stay up-to-date with the world of technology.
