The Department of Nursing Sciences at Antonine University (UA) gathered students and staff for “Breaking the Silence: HIV Awareness and Prevention,” an on-campus initiative designed to foster informed, stigma-free conversations around HIV.
Through interactive stands and educational games, participants challenged widespread misconceptions while strengthening their understanding of transmission, prevention, and the importance of early testing.
A brief talk delivered by a representative from the Society for Inclusion and Development in Communities and Care for All (SIDC) deepened the discussion, by encouraging an open, non-judgmental approach to HIV awareness within the UA community and highlighting the role of knowledge in shaping healthier social attitudes.
As UA continues to empower its learners to engage responsibly with public health issues, initiatives like this help cultivate a campus culture rooted in awareness, compassion, and community well-being.
