RASMI

A New Era in Research at Antonine University

The RApid-SMart Idea (RASMI) program was initiated by Antonine University (UA) through the Vice Rectorate for Research in the academic year 2024–25. This program aims to encourage and support research endeavors at the University while actively engaging faculty members involved in scientific research to develop and execute short-term research projects.

Program Goal

This initiative is designed to advance research at UA by encouraging faculty members to conduct contextualized research projects that foster positive contributions and significant impacts within local communities.

Dynamic Research Approach

The RASMI program adopts a dynamic research approach within the University. It actively promotes collaborations and partnerships among researchers, instructors, and students both within and across different academic departments. This facilitates a vibrant exchange of ideas and expertise, driving innovation and enhancing learning.

By enriching the research experience, RASMI aligns students with the University’s priority research areas, preparing them for future challenges and market needs. The program encourages eligible faculty members to engage in adaptable and contextualized research, leading to focused and sustainable research outcomes. RASMI guarantees the ongoing participation of all units at UA while ensuring projects align with institutional norms and principles.

Evaluation and Selection Process

Once RASMI project submissions are received by the deadline, they undergo a thorough external peer review process. A scoring system is employed to rank the projects by unit, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and scientific integrity. The Scientific Research Council oversees a fair and transparent process for scoring and selecting projects, following best practices for scoring and principles of good governance, transparency, and academic integrity during the evaluation stage.

Projects are ranked based on their scores, ensuring that the most promising ideas receive the support they need to succeed. This innovative initiative enables researchers and instructors to transform their ideas into concrete projects, with results published in reputable, indexed journals.
