In its unwavering commitment to preparing students and alumni for the dynamic demands of the professional world, the Center for Career Development (CCD) at Antonine University (UA) has orchestrated a series of impactful training sessions during the Fall Semester 2023.

On September 30, the CCD team, Mr. Fouad Abdallah, Ms. Elyse Saadeh, and Mr. Elie Najem, conducted a training session at the Hadat–Baabda Campus focused on “LinkedIn Express,” aimed at guiding UA students and alumni in creating and designing their own LinkedIn profiles. The event provided step-by-step guidance to optimize profiles for networking and job hunting, aligning with the University’s commitment to preparing its community for successful career journeys in the digital age.

Another noteworthy initiative by the CCD was a comprehensive training session on “Career Advising” provided at UA’s 3 campuses: Hadat–Baabda, Nabi Ayla–Zahle, and Mejdlaya–Zgharta. Tailored for both students and alumni, this program immersed participants in career development, enhancing their interview skills and providing detailed feedback on competencies and soft skills. The session also offered valuable insights into mastering CV and cover letter creation, aligning with the CCD’s mission to empower individuals for success in the competitive job market.

On November 11, the CCD team organized a training session at the Hadat–Baabda Campus on “The Art of Networking,” providing UA students and alumni with practical activities and role plays to overcome the fear of approaching unfamiliar individuals. The session, given by Mr. Andre Abi Awad, Founder of Entreprenergy, guided participants through the steps of building a professional network, emphasizing the development of networking skills to establish meaningful connections. This training will also be provided at the Nabi Ayla–Zahle Campus in March 2024 and at the Mejdlaya–Zgharta Campus in April 2024.

Finally, in a bid to equip UA students and alumni with essential life skills, the CCD hosted a training session on “Time Management” on December 2. Given by Mr. Elie Moussallem, a human resources specialist, this session aimed to provide valuable insights and practical strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency. Participants delved into essential skills such as task prioritization, goal setting, and effective planning, aligning with the CCD’s holistic approach to career development.

These events collectively underscore the CCD’s dedication to fostering a well-prepared, confident, and skilled UA community, ready to excel in their professional endeavors. Its dedication to empowering futures is a commendable stride towards creating a workforce that is not only well-educated but also well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. We encourage UA students and alumni to stay tuned for upcoming training sessions in the Spring Semester 2024.
