  • UA Faculty’s Inspiring Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility in France

    29 April 2025

As part of Antonine University’s (UA) commitment to promoting international collaboration and academic excellence, three esteemed faculty members successfully completed their Erasmus+ teaching mobility at Université Catholique de Lille (UCLille) and JUNIA School of Science and Engineering in Lille, France.

Ms. Mariebelle Keryakos, Lecturer at the Antonine School of Business (ASB), shared her enthusiasm about the experience, describing it as a highlight of her academic journey. She expressed her deep gratitude to UCLille for the warm welcome and exceptional support she received throughout her stay, as well as to UA for its continuous encouragement. During her mobility, she had the opportunity to teach students from two faculties — JUNIA School of Science and Engineering and UCLille’s Faculté de Gestion, Économie et Sciences (FGES) — while engaging with a diverse and talented community. Beyond the classroom, Ms. Keryakos immersed herself in the local culture, built lasting connections, and gained valuable insights that will enrich her future teaching and research activities.

Similarly, Dr. Sami Al Naddaf, Chairperson of the Department of Marketing and Management at the ASB, reflected on his rewarding experience at JUNIA. Emphasizing the inspiring classroom environment fostered by highly engaged students and supportive staff, he noted that his participation in the exchange program allowed him to embrace cultural diversity, exchange knowledge with colleagues from different academic backgrounds, and contribute meaningfully to the learning process.

Ms. Lynda El Achkouty, a full-time instructor at both the ASB and the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, also recounted her enriching journey. Teaching “Design Thinking” and “Entrepreneurship” to a multicultural group of students from France, Ghana, Spain, Cameroon, and Ukraine, she highlighted the importance of knowledge exchange, networking, and embracing diverse academic perspectives. Ms. El Achkouty emphasized how these experiences reinforce her passion for empowering students and fostering global learning communities.

UA congratulates Ms. Keryakos, Dr. Al Naddaf, and Ms. Achkouty for representing the University with distinction and for strengthening our global academic partnerships through such valuable initiatives.
