Antonine University (UA), through the Faculty of Information and Communication (FIC), is organizing a three-day hands-on Mobile Journalism workshop designed for students and professionals seeking to develop practical reporting skills using smartphones as complete journalistic tools.
As the first workshop of its kind at UA, this initiative introduces participants to the core principles and practices of mobile journalism. It covers photography, reporting, editing, and storytelling for digital platforms. Drawing on academic and professional models developed by leading institutions such as the University of Westminster and the University of Missouri, the workshop combines theory with applied training to reflect current newsroom realities.
What to Expect
Participants will explore mobile-first journalism through practical modules focusing on vertical video production, social media publishing, live reporting techniques, and fact-checking tools. The sessions emphasize hands-on learning and real-world applications, enabling participants to produce, edit, and publish journalistic content directly from their smartphones.
