Healing the Invisible Wounds: Path to Hope in Times of War
As an institution, Antonine University (UA) is committed to enhancing the sustainable well-being of our local and global communities. We recognize that providing mental health support is a vital component of community resilience.
In this context, UA’s Vice Rectorate for Integral Human Development has launched a series of wellness sessions under the theme Healing the Invisible Wounds: Path to Hope in Times of War. This initiative aims to address the unique psychological impacts of war, offering both theoretical and practical sessions designed to help individuals cope with trauma and foster resilience.
In this second session, titled,
Where Is God in Times of War?, we will discuss how wars affect both our faith and mental health. We will explore the interplay between spirituality and psychological well-being during times of crisis, addressing how individuals can seek hope and healing amidst suffering.
Questions for Discussion
- Why does God seem unresponsive to our prayers and allow such extensive suffering during war?
- How can spiritual beliefs (faith and prayers) contribute to mental well-being and provide a sense of purpose during crises?
