Healing the Invisible Wounds: Path to Hope in Times of War
As an institution, Antonine University (UA) is committed to enhancing the sustainable well-being of our local and global communities. We recognize that providing mental health support is a vital component of community resilience.
In this spirit, UA’s Vice Rectorate for Integral Human Development has launched a series of wellness sessions under the theme Healing the Invisible Wounds: Path to Hope in Times of War. This initiative addresses the unique psychological impacts of war, offering both theoretical insights and practical strategies designed to help individuals cope with trauma and foster resilience.
In this fourth session, Building Resilience Through Self-compassion and Mindfulness, participants will explore practical strategies to build mental and emotional resilience during crises. Through mindfulness exercises, self-compassion techniques, and interactive discussions, we aim to provide participants with tools for managing stress and finding inner calm amidst uncertainty. Additionally, we will incorporate an art therapy approach, allowing participants to express and process their emotions creatively. This blend of mindfulness and art will offer an outlet for self-discovery and empowerment in the face of adversity.
