The Vice Rectorate for Integral Human Development (VRIHD) at Antonine University (UA), in partnership with the Youth Association for Social Awareness (YASA), is organizing a session on Road Safety in Lebanon.
Rooted in UA’s core value of Responsibility, this session highlights the importance of proactive citizenship and ethical conduct in everyday life. Road safety is not merely a legal matter; it is a shared social commitment that reflects how individuals care for themselves, for others, and for the communities they belong to.
By placing university students at the center of the national road safety conversation, the session highlights the role of youth as key stakeholders and change-makers, capable of shaping safer road behavior across campuses and communities.
Event Objectives
- Present an updated overview of recent traffic law enforcement measures and their implications for young drivers and pedestrians.
- Clarify common misconceptions related to road safety laws and enforcement practices.
- Outline key compliance requirements and penalties, and what students need to know about responsible road conduct.
- Encourage students to move beyond being passive road users and become active contributors to a culture of responsibility and prevention.
