As part of its fourth Season of Chamber Music, Antonine University held, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute and the Teatro di San Carlo of Napoli, a concert by Napoli's Quartetto Del Teatro di San Carlo. Two violinists, Giuseppe Carotenuto and Luigi Buonomo starred in this concert alongside Antonio Bossone on the alto saxophone and Luca Signorini on the cello, playing compositions by Rossini, Donizetti, and Beethoven.
The concert took place on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at the St. Elias Church, Kantari. It was attended by Mr. Massimo Marotti, Italian Ambassador to Beirut; Fr. Michel Jalakh, Rector of Antonine University represented by Prof. Nidaa Abou Mrad, Vice-President of Academic Affairs and Research; Mr. Edoardo Crisafuli, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute; as well as diplomatic, municipal and academic figures and classical music lovers.
