On July 17, 2025, Antonine University (UA) welcomed its community back to the Hadat–Baabda Campus for an unforgettable evening — the long-awaited reveal of the 2015 Time Capsule.
Held in front of the newly inaugurated Alumni Square, the event was a celebration of memory, connection, and the enduring spirit of the UA alumni. The ceremony began with a warm reception and the Lebanese National Anthem, followed by a heartfelt welcome note that set the tone for an evening where time itself seemed to pause.
The unveiling of Alumni Square, introduced by Reverend Father Jean Al Alam, brought a wave of emotion. Fr. Jean’s speech reminded everyone that the square was not simply a physical space but a living tribute to every laugh, tear, and triumph shared at UA. Engraved with the message “Time passes, but memories remain”. The square became an emblem of the unbreakable bond between the University and its graduates.
Throughout the evening, alumni and guests were treated to musical performances by Joy El Sayegh and Delsin El Hajj, videos showcasing past alumni events, and reflections from distinguished graduates including Dr. Roxane Mallouhy and Dr. Jad Nassar. Their stories of growth, gratitude, and purpose inspired many in the room, reminding everyone of how far the Class of 2015, and the University, have come.
The event also marked the continuation of UA’s Alumni Podcast Initiative, a growing platform for graduates to share their professional journeys. In parallel, the audience was introduced to Upscale Hub, a bold project co-founded by Dr. Nassar that is helping Lebanese talent thrive locally through global opportunities. His contribution earned him the Outstanding Alumni Award, presented by Rector Fr. Michel Saghbiny and Fr. Jean Al Alam.
As the evening reached its climax, the 2015 Time Capsule was finally opened. With it came stories, laughter, and a flood of shared memories as alumni passed the microphone, recalling their days on campus.
Each attendee received a symbolic gift, a baby olive tree, representing growth, resilience, and deep roots, as well as their official UA Alumni ID Card. Together, these tokens served as reminders of a community that continues to grow stronger with time.
The event closed with a message of unity, purpose, and pride:
Inspire, Connect, Make a Difference.
