  • Advanced Spinal Therapy Workshop at UA

    20 June 2025

Antonine University (UA) successfully held a two-day intensive workshop titled Hands-on Healing: Advanced Manual Therapy for the Spine, hosted by the Department of Physical Therapy (DPT) at the Hadat–Baabda Campus on June 14 and 15, 2025.

As part of UA’s accredited diploma program and in collaboration with the European Teaching Group of Orthopedic Medicine (ETGOM), the workshop gathered physical therapists, students, and alumni for a focused training experience designed to elevate their clinical practice.

Led by Dr. Alessandro Marzagalli, an Italian ETGOM instructor and international expert in orthopedic manual therapy, the sessions combined theoretical insight with guided hands-on practice. Participants refined their skills in assessing and treating the lumbar and cervical spine using evidence-based, patient-centered techniques.

Over the course of the workshop, attendees engaged in in-depth sessions covering spinal anatomy, biomechanics, and manual therapy interventions grounded in differential diagnosis. The limited-seat format ensured interactive instruction and practical learning for all participants.

UA’s DPT continues to affirm its commitment to delivering high-quality continuing education rooted in scientific rigor, clinical relevance, and professional excellence, bringing international expertise to its students and alumni.
