From May 8 to 10, 2025, Antonine University (UA) brought its Hadat–Baabda Campus to life with the third edition of “Faites du sport,” organized by the Faculty of Sport Sciences (FSS) as part of its CARES initiative — Community, Adaptation, Resilience, Environment, and Sports. This annual event stands as a testament to the Faculty’s commitment to community engagement through sports.

This year’s edition was particularly meaningful, as it was designed and executed by third-year Sports Management students in collaboration with the Department of Motricity Education and Adapted Physical Activities. Their mission: to translate academic theory into real-world impact.

Over the course of three vibrant days, students led and facilitated a diverse lineup of inclusive sports activities. These included adapted physical exercises for children with special needs, table tennis sessions for seniors, Olympic Values Ethics Program (OVEP) workshops, and an introductory Teqball session — all tailored to foster participation across generations and abilities.

The initiative drew participation from 74 children, 25 seniors, and over 450 students, successfully bringing together individuals from different backgrounds in a shared space of learning, movement, and mutual respect. Beyond promoting physical education, “Faites du sport” offered FSS students hands-on experience in event planning, adapted physical activity, and community outreach — enriching their academic journey with invaluable practical insights.

UA takes pride in this ongoing tradition, which continues to grow as a beacon of inclusive, educational, and socially engaged sports practice.
