The Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) has recently buzzed with activity, showcasing its commitment to student engagement and innovation. A highlight was the “Blockchain Fundamentals” workshop, led by Mr. Karim Saadeh, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LebThree, where students explored key concepts in blockchain and cryptocurrency, covering practical applications and future trends shaping the digital economy. The event concluded with a lively networking exchange that allowed like-minded students to connect and share ideas on emerging technologies.

In addition, Election Day energized the FET community as student candidates from various societies, including IEEE, Robotics, Programming, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Cybersecurity, outlined their aspirations for the following term to their fellow members. Conducted under the supervision of heads of departments and faculty members, the elections underscored the FET’s ongoing commitment to student leadership and innovation.

Furthermore, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology welcomed alumnus Mr. Dany Tanios, Senior Technical Product Manager at Booking.com and Founder of Wonderers Coaching, for a compelling Tech Talk titled “Turning Big Ideas Into Real Impact: The Power of Product Thinking.” Drawing on his experience at Booking.com and Murex, Mr. Tanios guided the audience through the essentials of product management, from transforming ideas into scalable solutions to navigating the evolving landscapes of AI, cloud technologies, and microservices. The event wrapped up with a dynamic Q&A session, leaving attendees inspired and better equipped to build meaningful careers in tech and innovation.

These events reflect the FET’s mission to equip students with the skills and networks necessary for success in today’s digital economy.
