In a heartwarming show of compassion and social responsibility, the Office of Social Affairs at Antonine University (UA) organized a meaningful event titled “Let’s Make Hope in Every Storm,” bringing together students, faculty, and staff to support individuals affected by cancer.
Held at the Hadat–Baabda Campus, the event opened with an awareness presentation delivered by representatives of the Barbara Nassar Association for Cancer Patient Support, who shed light on the importance of community involvement in the journey of healing. Their presence reinforced the values of empathy and collective care, leaving a strong impression on attendees.
The event featured personal testimonies from students who courageously shared their experiences battling cancer and overcoming its challenges. Their powerful stories offered inspiration, strength, and a message of resilience to all attendees.
The second part of the event featured a hair donation initiative, providing participants with a tangible way to express solidarity with patients undergoing cancer treatment. Several attendees took the bold step to donate their hair, offering not only strands of support but also a powerful message of hope and resilience.
A photo-booth corner was set up during the event, allowing participants to capture and share their moments of support, further amplifying the spirit of unity that defined the day.
Through this initiative, UA continues to foster a culture of compassion and engagement, encouraging its community to take meaningful action in the face of life’s toughest storms.
