  • UA Rector Participates in the 25th Tethys General Assembly

    Antonine University (UA) was represented by its Rector, Fr. Michel Saghbiny, at the 25th Tethys General Assembly, held from June 18 to 20, 2025, at Aix-Marseille University (amU), France. The event brought together 120 participants from 22 universities across 11 countries.

    This year’s edition highlighted the growing impact of the Tethys network, now comprising 87 member universities from 21 Mediterranean countries. Discussions centered on shared priorities such as gender equality and climate change adaptation, featuring a keynote address by paleoclimatologist Joël Guiot, Founder of MedECC and Co-president of GREC-SUD.

    In parallel, Fr. Saghbiny took part in the study day organized in Aix-en-Provence, which welcomed 140 attendees to explore new pathways for Euro-Mediterranean cooperation. A notable highlight was the launch of the Project Pavilion, showcasing over 50 initiatives that opened doors for international collaborations.

    UA remains committed to expanding its academic diplomacy and strengthening its presence within global research and development networks.
