In a step that reflects its commitment to community engagement and local development, Antonine University (UA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Municipality of Mejdlaya to strengthen academic and municipal collaboration in service of the public good and regional advancement.
The signing ceremony took place in Mejdlaya in the presence of Rev. Fr. Michel Saghbiny, UA Rector; Rev. Fr. Maged Maroun, Director of the Mejdlaya–Zgharta Campus; and Ms. Marie Dahdah, Administrative Director of the Mejdlaya–Zgharta Campus. Representing the Municipality were its President, Eng. Etienne Doumit Lichaa; members of the Municipal Council; and Mr. Michel Saad, Advisor to the Union of Municipalities.
In their remarks, Fr. Saghbiny and Eng. Lichaa emphasized the importance of cooperation between academic institutions and municipalities in driving sustainable development and creating new opportunities for youth through joint projects, educational programs, and research initiatives.
This agreement forms part of UA’s ongoing efforts to bridge education and society, reinforcing its role as a leading academic institution contributing to the growth and vitality of Lebanese communities.
