  • UA Strengthens Academic and Research Collaborations in France

    15 October 2025

Antonine University (UA) proudly highlights the recent visit of Prof. Roger Achkar, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET), Dr. Youssef Bou Issa, International Relations Coordinator at the FET, and Dr. Jad Nassar, Director of the Telecommunications, Information, and Computer Key Enabling Technologies Laboratory (TICKET Lab).

Their mission to France included a series of productive meetings with several distinguished institutions: the Université Bourgogne Europe, Polytech Dijon, and the Laboratoire Informatique de Bourgogne, as well as Université Marie-et-Louis-Pasteur and the FEMTO-ST Institute in Besançon and Montbéliard.

The visit focused on reinforcing ongoing collaborations in academic programs and joint research, while identifying new opportunities that will take shape in the coming year. It also served as a platform to broaden discussions on innovation, digital transformation, and emerging technologies within the fields of engineering and applied sciences.

Key areas of cooperation included artificial intelligence, data-driven modeling, and smart systemsdesigned to address both industrial and societal challenges. Through these exchanges, the FET delegation underscored UA’s vision of connecting academia with industry, promoting knowledge transfer, and advancing research that directly supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

This mission reaffirms UA’s commitment to international cooperation, innovative research, and the creation of global learning opportunities for its students and researchers. By continuing to engage with prominent partners worldwide, Antonine University further consolidates its position as a forward-looking institution devoted to academic excellence and sustainable impact.
