Two students from the Faculty of Sport Sciences at Antonine University (UA), Jana El Sayfi and Rachelle Safi, recently completed a semester-long exchange at Université de Franche-Comté in France under the Erasmus+ (KA171) International Credit Mobility (ICM) program, as part of an interinstitutional agreement between the two universities.
During their stay from September 2024 to January 2025, the students pursued their third year of a BA in Physical Education and Sport, specializing in Activité Physique Adaptée et Santé (APAS), within the STAPS program at the host university, which has since been renamed Université Marie et Louis Pasteur.
The mobility program provided Jana and Rachelle with a unique opportunity to broaden their academic and professional horizons. They acquired valuable knowledge and international competencies that enhance their employability while improving their French language skills. Additionally, they deepened their understanding of different cultures and built international networks, fostering cultural awareness, empathy, tolerance, and inclusivity. The exchange also enabled them to share knowledge and best practices, enriching their learning experience with practical skills and promoting equal opportunities across international mobility programs.
Supported by the Erasmus+ program, this exchange has significantly contributed to their personal and academic development. Their journey reflects UA’s commitment to fostering global connections, enhancing educational experiences, and preparing students to thrive in an interconnected world. UA congratulates Jana and Rachelle on their successful mobility and looks forward to witnessing the positive impact of their experience on their future endeavors.
