Antonine University (UA), the home of talents, takes the greatest pride every year in nurturing well-rounded learners, by providing exciting and rewarding opportunities to help them concretize their aspirations and savor every moment. When its precious students, members of the UA’s vibrant community, were asked if they are eager to put their talents on display, the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) which launched the UA talent 2022 in its second edition, was overwhelmed with the number of registrations. Current students and alumni from different fields of study, who have been harnessing their skills for the past years, waiting for the right moment to show them off, were thrilled to join the summer party that took place on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 7:00 PM at Hadat–Baabda main campus, in a relaxed and informal atmosphere, with the aim of not only celebrating the end of the academic year, but most importantly their talents and creativity.

The party was hosted by Ms. Tracy Baaklini (Master’s student) and Mr. Mario Bader (UA alumnus), both at the Faculty of Information and Communication (FIC). The ceremony opened with a live concert organized by the UA Music Club (Dia El Hallani on the Oud, Nicolas Bou Faycal on the Derbeke, Joey Ghafary on the piano and the singer Celina El Hajj), after which the presenters prepared a list of games to engage and entertain the audience. The talents were then presented by the hosts and came up with mind-blowing performances on stage. Subsequently, the voting was announced open to the audience and the public (through a link in bio on studentlife IG page). Before the results were revealed, UA welcomed famous singers Moeen Shreif and Carole Aoun who set the stage on fire and left the audience awestruck.

At the end of the voting period, the results were announced live on the screen. The first prize winner, Ms. Ursula Daccache, a third-year student at the Faculty of Sport Sciences (FSS), was awarded 5.000.000 LBP cash prize for her drawing. Mr. Michael Mansour, a third-year student at the FSS, and Marie-Lynne Roustom, a third-year student at the Faculty of Engineering (FoE), took the first and second runner-up positions for singing and playing piano, and received 4.000.000 LBP and 3.000.000 LBP respectively. Exceptionally, the 4th and 5th talents were offered a consolation prize of 1.000.000 LBP each: From the FSS, Mr. Gabriel Harika, a third-year student, and Mr. Joseph Saliba, a first-year student, for their athletic performance, and from the Faculty of Music and Musicology (FMM), Ms. Diamant-Queen Shaaya, a second-year student, for her singing performance.

The event ended with live music by DJ Maroun Sleiman, live food stations by Mr. Dany Diab and a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages by El Bar.
