The Counseling Service at Antonine University (UA) launched the fourth edition of the How to Be Mentally Stronger, Happier, and Resilient series, with an engaging and thought-provoking theme: Human Sexuality Today. This theme consisted of 2 consecutive sessions aimed at providing valuable insights and promoting understanding of the complex and often misunderstood topic of sexuality. In this third session, “Who Am I to Judge?” – Pope Francis, we will delve into the spiritual and Christian perspective on homosexuality.
During this workshop, we will emphasize 3 essential principles: respect, compassion, and delicacy. Our aim is to explore the historical context of the Church’s stance on homosexuality and examine the fundamental concepts that establish a connection between the Church and the LGBTQ+ community. Drawing inspiration from the book and experiences of Jesuit Father James Martin, we aim to build bridges of communication, encourage reflection, and foster reconciliation.
If you missed the first 2 sessions on Sexual Identity: Normality or Perversion? and Sexual Orientation: Genetics, Epigenetics, or What?, you can catch up by watching them on YouTube via the following link.
