In alignment with Antonine University’s (UA) commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) at the Nabi Ayla–Zahle Campus is excited to announce an awareness session in honor of International Bird Day. This event is organized in collaboration with the Anti-Poaching Unit in the Middle East Sustainable Hunting Center (MESHC), the Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon (SPNL), the Committee Against Bird Slaughter (CABS), and Sayd Magazine. This initiative aims to shed light on the alarming rates of uncontrolled bird hunting in the Bekaa region, particularly among youth.
In support of SDG 15: Life on Land, this event will promote ethical, informed, and sustainable practices. It is designed to foster a stronger sense of environmental responsibility among students while encouraging them to take active steps in preserving local wildlife. By raising awareness of nature conservation and offering actionable guidance, we hope to inspire a long-term commitment to protecting Lebanon’s rich biodiversity.
