    25 November 2023
    Environment and Digital Transformation

Join us for an exciting workshop exploring the Symbiotic Relationship Between the Environment and Digital Transformation in Business and Education. Organized by the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) at Antonine University (UA) in collaboration with the Human Environmental Association for Development (HEAD), the Arab Network for Environment and Development (RAED), the Green Party of Lebanon, and Facilepath, this workshop aims to highlight the correlation between environmental sustainability and digitization, and discover innovative solutions and opportunities that arise from their interconnectedness.

The workshop consists of both theoretical and practical segments. During the theoretical part, we will explore the concepts of environmental sustainability and digitization, their significance in today’s rapidly evolving world, and their impact on education and business. In the practical part, participants will have the opportunity to engage in logo design creation and website design development, allowing them to apply their knowledge and skills in a hands-on manner.

    Session Objectives

    • Define environmental sustainability and address global challenges related to environmental degradation, climate change, and resource depletion.
    • Explore the significance of digitization in modern society, its evolution in education and business, and its benefits in terms of environmental sustainability.
    • Discover how digitization reduces environmental footprint and drives the adoption of green technologies.
    • Showcase real-life success stories of businesses and educational institutions that have integrated sustainable digitization practices, highlighting the positive outcomes in terms of cost savings, reduced environmental impact, and improved performance.
    • Identify the challenges in balancing environmental sustainability and digitization, while emphasizing the opportunities for students to engage in eco-friendly digitization initiatives in their studies and future careers.
