Our Mountains, Our Heritage, Our Future
Antonine University’s Faculty of Sport Sciences (FSS), in partnership with the Municipality of Zgharta–Ehden, is organizing the second edition of Lebanese Mountain Day, a three-day event celebrating Lebanon’s mountain identity through sport, culture, environment, education, tourism, and sustainable territorial development.
Building on the first Lebanese National Mountain Day, held in Ehden in 2025, the 2026 edition expands the initiative as a platform bringing together public institutions, universities, municipalities, local communities, professionals, athletes, environmental actors, businesses, and visitors around the present and future of Lebanon’s mountain regions.

More Than a Mountain Event
Lebanese Mountain Day brings together different dimensions of mountain life in one shared experience. Through sport and outdoor recreation, heritage and culture, environmental awareness, local gastronomy, professional opportunities, and expert dialogue, the event aims to:
- Promote Lebanon’s mountain heritage and identity.
- Encourage sport and outdoor activities as tools for health, education, and local development.
- Support sustainable mountain tourism.
- Highlight mountain-related professions, employability, and entrepreneurship.
- Strengthen connections among mountain communities, institutions, professionals, and stakeholders.
Whether you come to discover, move, learn, connect, or simply experience Ehden differently, Lebanese Mountain Day invites you to be part of three days dedicated to our mountains, our heritage, and their future.
Registration is required for the Opening Ceremony, HYROX, and calisthenics activities.
