IT Support

Position Summary
Responsible for providing assistance to UA internal stakeholders: students, faculty and staff members concerning their IT needs. He / She will conduct the troubleshooting, the maintenance of the software, hardware and networks and assist in the day-to-day support operations as well as ongoing projects. In addition, the candidate must have an experience in sound operation in order to install mixers, microphones and speakers for hybrid meetings and events.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners.
  • Installing and configuring sound systems for hybrid meeting and events
  • Maintaining computer systems and networks;
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests;
  • Providing technical support across the organization (on site or phone support);
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary;
  • Performing electrical safety checks on computers, projectors, and other equipment;
  • Supporting users and guests in events and meetings;
  • Performing any other related duties as assigned.

 

Basic

  • T.S in IT or equivalent. B.S in Computer Science is a plus;
  • 0 to 1 year of experience directly related to the specified main duties and responsibilities. Experience in a higher education institution is preferred


Technical Knowledge

  • Good knowledge in Microsoft products (Win10, Server 2012; active directory is a plus).
  • Good knowledge in CISCO switching (CCNA is a plus).
  • Good knowledge in IT technical support and ability to learn new technology.
  • Knowledge of common software installation (Packet tracer, 3D Max, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Mat Lab….)
  • Knowledge in Network foundations.

IT Application Specialist

Position Summary
Develops, manages and troubleshoot computer programs. This include gathering business requirements from different university stakeholders, design and maintenance of business application, configuration, testing, etc. The candidate will participate in improvising the processes and assigned projects and might performs technical support when needed.

As IT Application Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Understanding the application/area as it relates to assigned projects/tasks;
  • Handling complex application issues with different stakeholders, including IT department;
  • Participating in improvising the processes and assigned applications/projects;
  • Supporting and train end users;
  • Staying up to date with industry standard best practices/techniques related to Application development;
  • Communicating with stakeholders regularly on the progress and status of trouble tickets;
  • Performing analysis of tasks/issues reported & provide technical solutions;
  • Performing Unit/Integration testing, and supports system testing/UAT;
  • Performing technical support when needed;
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

 

Basic

  • BA in Computer Sciences or related field. Computer Engineering is a plus.
  • 0 to 2 years of experience directly related to the specified main duties and responsibilities. Experience in a higher education institution is preferred.

 

Technical competencies

  • Hands-on knowledge and design experiences in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL; Dot Net is a plus;
  • Knowledge in Oracle, PeopleSoft and Dynamics 365 is a plus.

Junior Developer

Position Summary
As a Junior Developer, you will participate in developing new projects and assist the development team in all aspects of software design and coding. You will be also assisting in maintaining applications, address bugs, conducting test runs, and deploy app enhancements. You might perform also technical support, when needed.

As Junior Developer, you will be responsible for:

  • Researching, designing, implementing, and managing software programs; 
  • Testing and evaluating new programs;

Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented and organized individual to join the administrative team.

Position Summary
Provides all administrative supports and maintains the compliance with academic policies, processes and procedures. Serves as primary point of operational and administrative contact with UA members, visitors and other stakeholders and coordinates several activities and services organized by the Office.

As an Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative support by managing the respective schedule/calendar, screening and handling telephone communications, greeting and directing visitors, and dealing with administrative problems and inquiries as appropriate;
  • Serves as a primary point of direct administrative contact and liaison with other offices, individuals, and other external stakeholders;
  • Coordinating the Office meetings, conferences, and events as requested by scheduling and coordinating dates and times, venues, attendance, agendas, and facilities; taking minutes of meeting, if demanded, and providing administrative support and follow-up on matters arising from meetings;
  • Monitoring incoming post and e-mails for invitations and reply as appropriate;
  • Creating and maintains administrative documentation; preparing many types of reports, letters and other written correspondence and materials;
  • Following-up on various administrative tasks:
    1. Dispatching internal files and documents to internal units and departments;
    2. Requesting maintenance services, when needed;
  • Performing data entry of several files and documents;
  • Performing any other related duties as assigned.

 

Basic

  •  BA in Management, Business Administration or related field. A Masters is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience directly related to the specified main duties and responsibilities. Experience in a higher education institution is preferred.
