Events Coordinator

Position Summary

Responsible for planning, developing, and delivering a wide range of purposeful and engaging university events that reflect the institution’s mission and values. This role involves providing strategic support to faculties and departments, ensuring every event meets quality standards, enhances visibility, and fosters meaningful engagement. Working closely with the Office of Communications, the Events Coordinator also oversees the continuous improvement of the University’s event toolkit and ensures all activities align with institutional policies and regulations.

 

As Events Coordinator you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing a detailed events strategy aligned with the University’s priorities.
  • Identifying opportunities for innovative and impactful events that cater to diverse audiences: students, staff, alumni, and the broader community.
  • Maintaining and updating the University’s calendar of events.
  • Planning and managing all stages of events from concept development to on-site delivery and follow-up.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for all event-related questions for external and internal stakeholders.
  • Managing events’ deadlines and tracking respective progress.
  • Collecting feedback and preparing post-event reports with observations and recommendations for improvement (attendance, engagement, post-event visibility, etc.).
  • Analyzing event attendance trends and making proposals to increase outreach and participation.
  • Performing any other related duties as assigned.

 

Basic

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Management, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. A Master’s and/or a Certificate in Events Management is a plus;
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience directly related to the specified main duties and responsibilities. Experience in a higher education institution is preferred.

 

Technical Knowledge

  • Event strategy development and implementation.
  • Strong event planning and execution.
  • Strong data analysis (e.g., attendance trends, engagement metrics).
  • Ability to use event planning tools or platforms (e.g., scheduling tools, project management systems).
  • Knowledge in Network foundations.

  • Location: Antonine University, Hadat-Baabda campus

  • Working schedule:
    • Monday to Friday: from 07:45 AM to 4:15 PM
    • Saturday: from 8:00 m. to 12:00 noon (2 Saturdays per month)
  • Job Code: BA-GES-0.8.0
  • Work is performed in an office-based setting with frequent interaction across university departments. The work may require occasional standing or walking between offices and carrying small objects. It requires also a flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays (especially around major events).
