  • Mediation as a Tool for Conflict Management

    28 November 2020
Mediation as a Tool for Conflict Management

Have you ever asked yourself why some discussions can easily turn into conflicts? Did you ever invest your time in building capacity to manage or recover from the impact of such uncomfortable situations? Are you willing to develop your listening skills and increase your willingness to understand people’s behavior better?

Antonine University is very pleased to add its contribution toward helping reduce uncertainties that stem from continuous misunderstandings, by inviting its faculty members to attend a two-session webinar on mediation, allowing them to better understand what mediation is and why it has become a core skill both inside and outside the classroom.

Held in partnership with the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) and the Professional Center for Mediation (CPM) at Saint-Joseph University (USJ), this webinar will be hosted in English by Ms. Paule Chiha, trainer and mediator at the Professional Center for Mediation.

    Help your students succeed
This concise yet crucial online webinar will help UA faculty members identify the root causes of the disputes and gain a greater understanding of the different types of conflicts to prevent them from escalating into violent confrontations. After this training session, faculty members will learn how to enhance their communication skills and will be more easily prone to develop a holistic understanding of their students’ needs. Faculty members will not only contribute to the academic success of their students but also to their personal growth.

    Audience: UA faculty members
Webinar dates: November 28 and December 5, 2020
    Time: 2:00 – 5:00 PM
    Location: Virtual via Zoom

Participants in the two-day webinar will receive a certificate of attendance.

Register by Friday, November 27 at 4 PM to book your place, or contact isaq@ua.edu.lb for more information. Places are limited.
