In June 2007, the third campus of Antonine University (UA) in Mejdlaya–Zgharta was officially inaugurated, set on the land of the Sarkis and Bakhos Monastery. Classes commenced officially on March 27, 2009, with few programs and progressively expanded to have 5 faculties today.
